Glenn Canady - a warning to us all

I’ve been a bit busy over the past few days to keep up with my posts, but there will be plenty more starting over the next few days.

In the meantime here is a snippet from Glenn Canady’s gorillawebsitemarketing.com site to amuse you. It would have amused me, had I not lost $8000 as a result of doing Glenn Canady’s course. Anyway here is the quote :

there are literally THOUSANDS of programs online all promising you riches… Promising their program is the best. Promising you’ll make more money with them because of their compensation program. Because of their “superior” product. Because of their “experienced” management. Etc., etc.

But you need to be ever-vigilant. Not all opportunities are created equal… In fact, the vast majority will suck your
hard earned money out of your pockets so fast, you won’t even realize until it’s far too late.

If you’ve ever felt “let down” or disappointed by a business opportunity… Or worse yet, have ever been just
plain SCAMMED… (and if you’ve been in the business for ANY length of time, you no doubt HAVE been!), then you KNOW what I’m talking about.

Believe me Glenn, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about !

Glenn Canady

Before I continue documenting my experiences of The Glenn Canady Gorilla Website Marketing Course I’d like to take a break and mention something that happened a couple of days ago.

Out of the blue I got an email from Glenn Canady. Now when I got Glenn Canady’s email I considered the communication between us to be private and outside of the things that had gone on regarding the failure of his Glenn Canady Gorilla Website Marketing Course. However, Glenn Canady has insisted that I post the emails on my site. Now quite frankly I really couldn’t care less what Glenn Canady wants. This is my site, it’s the story of my experiences, and I’ll decide what is going to go on it.

However, I AM going to post all of the emails, and in their entirety, but I am going to do so at a point which is NOT going to interupt the flow of what I am trying to document. I felt that Glenn got extremely rude and abusive in his emails, and resorted to childish name calling and personal attacks on me. Quite why Glenn is pleading with me to publish his emails I don’t know, because they are an embarrassment. To my mind it gives a picture of a very rude and childish individual who seems not particularly smart, and appears bloated with his own self-importance. If he wants people to see the sort of person they are potentially dealing with then I will be VERY happy to publish them. I’m making a few changes to this site in the near future, and they will be published at the earliest opportunity, as soon as the changes are in place.

In the interest of balance it would be unfair of me to make any further comment on the emails until such time as I publish them.

One positive thing came out of it all though, I finally managed to get off Glenn Canady’s email list, something that others have apparently tried and failed to do (for example) .

Glenn Canady, AB Development, and the email telling me it’s all a scam.

It was now the 16th March 2004. I’d sent my email complaining bitterly about AB Development and the failure of Glenn Canady’s Gorilla Website Marketing Course on the 9th March. I still hadn’t had a reply.

Obviously, I was getting more and more concerned. It really felt to me like they had just pocketed my money, given me eight 30-60 minute sessions on the phone and then left me high and dry. I hadn’t made a penny so far, and according to them I was supposed to have been earning money from my web site by the time my first credit card bill hit me, and my earnings would have paid off the full $8000 by within 6 months. In retrospect I realised that this was an impossibility. And now it seemed they weren’t even replying to my emails.

Out of the blue I got an email which seemed to be from Scott Dimmick. Scott was the guy who Advanced Business Development got to do the first 4 mentoring sessions, which were focused on building the web site (something I was already very capable of doing). I’d got on well with Scott and I was pretty shocked to read the email. It was sent to a big list of recipients. I assume these were all of Scott’s clients that he had worked with. I’m not posting the headers so as to spare the innocent from the spambots !

Here is the email I received :

< ====== Start of Paste ======>

Subject : weve all been scammed!!!!

we’ve all been scammed by the company’s that have been selling us
“products & services”….. they have sold us a bill of goods, taken us
to the cleaners and have hung us out to dry….. the salesmen are
liars. we must take action. if you feel like you have been lied to,
please file a complaint at www.ripoffreport.com or
www.badbusinessbureau.com……. the bbb will do nothing since these
companies pay to have a good record.

< ====== End of Paste ======>

So here I was feeling that I’d been completely ripped off by AB Development and Glenn Canady. My emails expressing concern and demanding explanations were going unanswered and out of the blue I received this email purporting to be from Scott Dimmick, one of the mentors AB Developments assigned to me. From what I can recall, Scott was not an AB Development employee. I believe he had been drafted in by AB Development to assist with the mentoring. The email address on the email was definitely that of Scott’s from his other company.

As you can imagine, I was worried about AB Development, Glenn Canady, what was going on, whether I had been conned, and if I would EVER see the money they led to believe I was going to make. After that email my concerns were now going through the roof !
