Gorilla Website Marketing Question from William
I’m taking a step back today to deal with a comment someone made in response to my original post. I’ve been meaning to reply to William’s comment for a couple of days now and I want to apologise to him for not doing so sooner. I’d also like to thank him for his comments and kind offer of assistance. I figured that if someone is good enough to offer help then it wouldn’t be right to bury my response several pages back.
William mentioned that when he looked at Glenn Canady’s Gorilla Website Marketing site that Glenn Canady clearly states :
WE DO NOT WORK WITH ABDEVELOPMENT Lou Jardino OR Kent Bickmore, They are calling Gorilla Marketing Clients Illegally. Sorry for an inconveniece they may have caused.
And yes, William is 100% correct. That is what Glenn Canady is saying NOW. However, it was a different story a few months back. Here is a snippet from Glenn’s Gorilla Website Marketing Course site from 25th October 2003, when I signed up to do Glenn Canady’s course :

Of course if you want to see Glenn Canady’s Gorilla Website Marketing Course site as it was around the time I signed up then check out this link . It uses the ‘Wayback Machine’ at archive.org . An indispensible tool for dealing with the ‘I never said that’ kind of people.
From my recent comments I may have given people the impression that I was being very critical of Zeus and that I didn’t rate it. I’m going to be criticising Zeus quite a bit more in future posts so I’d like to make it clear what my thoughts on Zeus are. Based on my experiences (and not comments made by others) I have personally found the free version of Zeus to be completely useless. I could not, under any circumstances, get it to work properly and I found the official support I was offered to be lacking. Others say they use it with no problems. I’m telling you my experiences.
As I will get to in future posts, I found the professional version of Zeus to be extremely difficult to get working the way I wanted it to work. I will come to some of the reasons why I believe that to be over the next few days. However, when I eventually got Zeus working reasonably well I found that I was able to find a number of sites as good link partners that I very much doubt that I would have been able to find through any other means. There is undoubtedly a lot of work required up front to get good results, but you reap what you sow, and Zeus WILL reward your time and effort that you put in.
My experience of Zeus on the site that I built as part of Glenn Canady’s Gorilla Website Marketing Course was that I struggled to find any sites, despite my training it (more on this in the next few days). Then it found sites, and then it went back to finding rubbish again. However, I was impressed enough with Zeus to purchase a second copy for use on another PC. I have yet to use this in anger. It’s spider can be VERY frustrating. I’ve got a few link partners, but I’m still in the process of trying to refine the searches. It is taking a huge chunk out of my time though, and after being left $8000 out of pocket by Glenn Canady and ABDevelopment I need to do everything I can to try and get money coming in quickly. So having time spare to train Zeus is not something I have a lot of !
